RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Washoe County School District parents have a chance to tell the district how they feel about the recent fall break.
October intersession surveys were sent out Tuesday.
The new balanced calendar involves school starting earlier, a fall break, a break in January and April.
The district wants to know if parents felt the intersession was beneficial for their students or if it was more of a burden.
"The board is really going to hear how the parents felt about this October intersession," WCSD Senior Director of Student Accounting Bryn Lapent says.
District officials say the surveys will be presented to the board of trustees on Nov. 19.
"I'm scheduled to go back several times during the year in order to talk to them about the calendar and parent input," Lapenta says.
