LAKE TAHOE, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- It was a busy weekend in Tahoe for the Memorial Day holiday, not excluding the Washoe County Sheriffs Office.

According to Bob Harmon with the Sheriffs Office, Marine 9, the department's 24-ft. long vessel, sank Monday afternoon. Marine 9 was stationed off the Hyatt Beach in Incline Village and for unknown reasons, started taking on water.

WCSO has pulled it out of the lake and say they are investigating. Marine 9 works on emergencies, search and rescue, law enforcement requirements and assists other law enforcement agencies.
