Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Washoe County has seen a record breaking number of early votes cast in the 2012 election season.

Washoe County officials report that 46% of all registered voters in Washoe cast their ballots during early voting. Early voting in Nevada ran from October 20th through November 2nd.

Early voting totals show that 45,043 Democrats, 44,402 Republicans and 21,745 Non-Partisan voters cast ballots for a total of 111,190 early votes.

This beats the previous record, of 101,787 early votes, from the 2008 General Election.

Those who missed early voting can still cast their ballot in the November 6 General Election between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at their assigned polling place.
