Washoe County man sentenced for Armed Robbery and Embezzlement

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A Washoe County man on Wednesday was deemed a Habitual Criminal.

According to a press release, Washoe County Judge Brent Adams adjudicated Daniel Rosenberg as a Habitual Criminal after handing down a sentence for an Armed Robbery and Embezzlement. Rosenberg pleaded guilty to embezzling approximately $6,000 from his employer, a local bar and grill in Reno.

While detectives were investigating the embezzlement, an armed robbery occurred at Dotty’s Casino in the 2800-block of Northtowne Lane. Evidence left on that scene implicated Rosenberg, and he was arrested on August 15.

Rosenberg received a sentence of 2-5 years for the Embezzlement to run currently with his sentence of 10 years to Life for the Armed Robbery.

Rosenberg has 18 prior felony convictions spanning from 1993.
