CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County Juvenile Services is moving from its longtime home at the Charles M. McGee Center to Sparks.
The move to 2395 E. Prater Way is effective March 17.
The McGee Center was established in 1992 as a residential program for juvenile status offenders.
It evolved to include a girl's residential program until 2010, and then a day program for girls until 2012.
Since then it has served as the intact assessment until for juvenile offenders.
This spring the McGee Center will become a new child advocacy center to provide victims of sexual assault a home and other services.
