WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A self advocates organization says several schools in the Washoe County School District are using a form of punishment that was outlawed by the state in 1999.

People First of Nevada presented the school board with an 11 page report Tuesday night showing the use of seclusion rooms, otherwise known as "scream rooms" in attempt to "calm children down."

News 4's Ashley Cullins talked with the Washoe County School District and with people who say their children were put in these rooms and will have the latest tonight at News 4 at 6.
