WELLS, Nev. (AP) — An Elko County woman is jailed after police say they found stashes of methamphetamine throughout her home in Wells and drug paraphernalia on a child's high chair.
The Elko Daily Free Press (http://bit.ly/150SOtp ) reports police received a call Friday about a large amount of drugs in the home where three children were believed to be living.
Undersheriff Clair Morris says a deputy made contact with 30-year-old Lachrishna Shields, who denied the accusations.
But Morris says the officer asked to go inside, where he allegedly found drug paraphernalia including a scale used to weigh drugs on a high chair. He says small amounts of meth were found throughout the home.
Shields was arrested on charges of drug possession, attempted child abuse or neglect and attempting to obstruct an officer.
