Renown sued by doctors and investigated by FTC - March 2013

Steven Brooks expelled from Nevada Assembly - March 2013
After multiple arrests and allegations of threats against lawmakers, Steven Brooks became the first assemblyman to be expelled from the Nevada legislature in an historic two-thirds vote.

Five people murdered in and near Fernley - May 2013
It's a story that shocked northern Nevada. Five people were murdered within days of each other in Fernley and near the Mustang exit of Interstate 80. The suspect pleaded not guilty and awaits a trial in June.
