Winter weather won't stop the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade

Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade will go on tomorrow, December 7, 2013 despite the winter weather expected to hit valley floors tonight.

The 27th annual Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade will start at 1p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The parade route will travel from east to west on Victorian Avenue from Pyramid to 16th street and will run from 1:00 - 3:00p.m.

The parade will be led by Grand Marshall Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki. Lt. Governor Krolicki is the Chair of the NV150 Committee to celebrate Nevada's sesquicentennial. The parade is one of many events that will honor Nevada's 150 years of statehood. The 2013 theme for the parade is "Celebrating 150 Years of Nevada Heritage."

10:00am - 11:00am :Ugly Sweater Run at Scheels

10:00am - 4:00pm :Inaugural Community Faire, presented by Bourbon Street Casino

11:00am -12:30pm : Santa in Glendale Schoolhouse, presented by SERTOMA Club and the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

1:00pm - 3:00pm : Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade

3:00pm - 4:00pm : Santa in Glendale Schoolhouse, presented by SERTOMA Club and the Boys and Girls  Club of Truckee Meadows
