RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Redshirt Sophomore running back Chris Solomon was arrested on Sunday for first-degree battery, a misdemeanor, and has been suspended from the Nevada football team.

“We are aware of the incident, and Chris has been suspended from the team as we continue to gather more information,” second-year Head Coach Brian Polian said in a press release.

Solomon was a redshirt freshman for the Wolf Pack last season. He had 89 carries for 282 yards, and one touchdown.
