UPDATE: According to court documents, a Zephyr Cove woman argued with her husband over a trip she wanted to take to Southern California to visit her daughter before he was shot and killed.

Tatiana Leibel was being held in the Douglas County Jail on a charge of open murder in the Feb. 23 shooting of her 64-year-old husband, Harold Leibel.

The 50-year-old self-employed computer saleswoman phoned dispatchers to say her husband had shot himself twice at their home.

Investigators say he was shot in the torso and a hand, and a cocked rifle found in the house helped implicate her as a suspect.

Gardnerville's Record-Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1kDlxuo ) that at a hearing Tuesday in Tahoe Justice Court, the Ukraine native was ordered to surrender any passports, and her bail was slashed from $1 million to $500,000.

MINDEN, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – A Douglas County woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her husband, who authorities first thought committed suicide.

Tatiana Leibel, 50, was arrested on Open Murder charges in the death of her husband, 64-year-old Harry Leibel. According to a press release, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to the 400-block of Kent Way in Zephyr Cove for a report of a male who had shot himself around 11 a.m on Sunday.
