RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The world's top kayakers will descend upon Reno for the 10th annual Reno River Festival.

National and international champion kayakers will take on the Truckee River Whitewater Park in a fierce, but fun variety of competitions. Some of those competitions include; slalom, freestyle, boatercross, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Some of the top names competing are Eric Jackson, Adam Chapel, Courtney Kerin and Nick Troutman, as well as local favorites including Sage Donnelly, Jessica Yurtinas, Jason Craig and Colin Kemp.

All the fun doesn't start and end in the water. For those looking to learn more about some outdoor activities Cabela’s host a series of tutorial sessions like fly fishing. There will also be plenty of live music showcasing seven different bands throughout the two days.
