I think the commenter SN1298 has this ALL WRONG. The adult was bumped by the younger adult, who then cursed and threatened the older adult, you responded-- not by beating anyone, but by grabbing the neck of the actual assailant to avoid being hit. Hess is the victim, and the younger adult is lucky he didn't get broken in half, cause he had it coming.

So an older adult, beats an 18-year old and that 18-year then requires medical attention. Whether there is bad blood or not - this is not "kind of silly" this was assault. Hess was out of control and committed assault and needs to be held accountable.
