A simple solution to this problem that no one mentioned in the article. Don't let the new employee work at all at the facility until the back ground check comes back, just like 37 other states do. Some companies I have worked for in the past have done this with a drug test. I was not able to work until I the drug test came back. it's common sense not rocket science!

3 days? Can you imagine how far a child abductor can travel with a child in 3 days? How hard would it be to close this loop hole before something tragic results from it? Yet I didn't even see a mention of FIXING THIS PROBLEM. Kudos to Noah's Ark for doing what every damned one of the Child Care Facilities SHOULD be doing! Everyone who has a child of child care age should be demanding this flaw be corrected NOW!
