RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Some Wooster High School students are stepping up to try and find ways to work around Washoe County School District's budget shortages. At a fundraiser to help the school buy new curtains theater students will be performing skits non-stop until Midnight Friday.
The new curtains are part of more than $300 million in repairs the school district says need to be done soon. But they say money to tackle those issues won't be there unless state lawmakers pass a bill allowing a quarter percent sales tax increase and a five cent tax increase for every $100 of assessed property value.
