SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A motorist who ran a stop sign in Orange County slammed into another vehicle, killing two people and then fled the scene.
Police say the collision occurred about 11:30 a.m. Friday in Santa Ana when a speeding Audi blew through a stop sign and broadsided a Nissan Sentra.
A 53-year-old man died at the scene and his 50-year-old passenger died at a hospital a short time later. Their identities weren't immediately released.
Police say the driver of the Audi was playing loud music and there were no skid marks to indicate he tried to slow down. Police are looking for the driver and a passenger who accompanied him.
