LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two men are dead after two separate motorcycle crashes that happened on the same day in Las Vegas.
Police say a 30-year-old motorcyclist died after rear-ending a Toyota 4Runner about 5 p.m. Tuesday on Tropicana Avenue near Paradise Road. Witnesses reported the motorcycle was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic before hitting vehicles stopped at a red light.
The man succumbed to his injuries at Sunrise Hospital.
A 73-year-old man riding a scooter was killed in a separate accident about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Police say he was in the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Durango Drive when a Kia Sorento made a left turn in front of him.
The scooter rider hit the Kia and was thrown off. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
