LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County School District officials say they've lifted a lockdown that briefly affected six schools near the scene of a shooting.
District spokeswoman Melinda Malone says the lockdown started just before 11 a.m. Tuesday and was cancelled about half an hour later.
Las Vegas police officer Laura Meltzer says the measure was precautionary after neighbors reported gunfire on Little Finch Lane, near Owens Avenue and Lamb Boulevard. Meltzer says no victims were found, but two suspects were possibly involved.
Police say a van that may have been connected to the shooting was found crashed nearby shortly after.
Meltzer says that by noon Monday, one person was detained and police were looking for a second suspect.
The lockdown affected Diaz, Cortez, Monaco, Tate, Sandy Miller and Martin Luther King Jr. schools.
