LAS VEGAS (AP) — Four adults and four children are displaced after an early morning fire in Clark County that caused an estimated $150,000 in damage.
Clark County firefighters say they got several calls just before 3 a.m. Thursday about a fire on Iron Cactus Drive. That's near the intersection of Durango Drive and Fort Apache Road.
Crews say the fire had traveled up a built-in channel to the second floor, but they say they were able to get the blaze under control within 10 minutes.
Authorities say the residents were not on scene at the time.
Officials have not yet released a cause. They say the home was badly damaged by heat, smoke, and water, and American Red Cross representatives are assisting the people who were displaced.
