PHOENIX (AP) — The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University will use a grant from a Las Vegas-based foundation to launch a new business reporting bureau.

The school says the $1 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation will provide funding for a newsroom that will provide coverage of business and economic topics for media outlets.

The school says the Donald W. Reynolds Business Reporting Bureau will open in January and be located at ASU's campus in downtown Phoenix.

The bureau's stories will be distributed through the school's Cronkite News Service.

According to the school, Cronkite will use some of the grant to hire a prominent business journalist to lead the business reporting operation.
