BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Police in Bakersfield shot and killed two men in a hotel parking lot after trying to pull over their vehicle.
Two officers were injured during the confrontation early Monday morning.
The Bakersfield California reports (http://bit.ly/150fowz) that the coroner's office identified the dead men as 32-year-old Justin Bryan Harger and 34-year-old Jorge Ramirez.
No other suspects are being sought.
Police have not explained the exact sequence of events, saying that the investigation is ongoing.
The two officers, whose identities are not being released, were hospitalized but discharged later Monday.
Bakersfield Police Lt. Scott Tunnicliffe says that one was shot in the skull but the bullet did not penetrate.
