Fransen says the parent was leaving the school after dropping off her child was turning her SUV right onto Byron Highway when she felt a thud. She immediately stopped and saw that she had run over and pinned the boy, who was wearing a safety helmet.
Authorities say the woman, whose name has not been released, was not arrested, nor given a citation.
