CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (AP) — Military officials say a Navy corpsman was killed in a car accident during a Marine Corps training exercise at Camp Pendleton.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Wilson Won Lee of Lakewood, Calif., died Sunday during the exercise on the base, north of San Diego. He was 23 years old.

Marine Corps officials say the cause of the accident is under investigation and declined to elaborate.

Lee was a corpsman with the Combat Logistics Battalion 1.

Officials say he enlisted in February 2008 and served in Afghanistan.
