DALLAS (AP) — An exhibit has opened at a Dallas museum exploring the 25-year career of contemporary American artist Jim Hodges.
The traveling exhibit, "Jim Hodges: Give More Than You Take," opened Sunday at the Dallas Museum of Art. The exhibit, which will run through Jan. 12 in Dallas, is the first comprehensive survey of Hodges' work to be organized in the U.S.
The show, which features more than 80 works, examines how the New York City-based Hodges transforms materials into art. Among works featured is a sculpture of Hodges' clothing knit together by silver chains.
Following its debut in Dallas, the exhibit will travel to Minneapolis' Walker Art Center, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
