LAS VEGAS (AP) — A defendant who says he was stalked and threatened by his ex-girlfriend is expected to face tough questions about killing and dismembering the woman in December 2010.
Jason Omar Griffith returns to the witness stand Thursday, a day after beginning to tell jurors in Las Vegas that Deborah Flores Narvaez was violent and possessive after they became intimate in early 2010.
Flores was a performer in the Luxor hotel-casino's "Fantasy" revue.
Griffith was a dancer in the Cirque du Soleil show "Love."
He claims self-defense. He told his housemate that he choked Flores during an argument at his house.
But that's not what he first told police.
Griffith is also accused of sawing Flores' corpse apart and entombing it in tubs of concrete that police found nearly a month later.
