LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas judge is due to decide whether two men will face trial in state court on felony charges in the stabbing of a hotel guest last month in a Las Vegas Strip resort elevator.

Trent Wilcox and Carlos Heredia face an evidence hearing Wednesday on attempted murder and battery charges in the 2 a.m. Feb. 16 attack on the 31st floor of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay.

Prosecutor Michael Radovcic says he plans to show videotape of Wilcox holding a male tourist while Heredia stabs him.

The victim was later hospitalized with more than 10 stab wounds.

The man's wife told police the 25-year-old Wilcox and 23-year-old Heredia appeared drunk and provoked the attack.

Heredia and Wilcox have been jailed on $250,000 bail since their arrests.
