LOS ANGELES (AP) — A former Los Angeles police detective who pleaded no contest to assaulting three women at massage parlors while on duty has been sentenced to six months in jail and three years' probation.

City News Service reports a judge on Friday also ordered 49-year-old Oris Pace to stay away from the women.

Pace was required to resign from the Los Angeles Police Department as a condition of his no contest plea to three felony counts of assault by a public officer.

He was a supervisor in a division that monitored business permits, including those for massage parlors in the San Fernando Valley.

Prosecutors said that while on duty in January, Pace made three women in parlors undress or he removed their clothes and groped them.
