SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Police say they used social media to track a suspected kidnapper to a hotel-casino in northern Nevada where he was arrested on kidnapping, assault and pornography charges.

Sparks police say 37-year-old Nicholas Wessel of Richmond, California persuaded two run-aways from Modesto to travel to Nevada with him before he was arrested at the Nugget about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

He's accused of having non-consensual sex with a 14-year-old girl that Modesto police had located using a Facebook posting on the Internet.

Investigators tell KRNV-TV they traced communication with the girl to the Nugget where Wessel was found with a camera with pictures of child pornography.

The teens were taken into custody.

Wessel is being held on suspicion of kidnapping, sexual assault, production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
