SAN MARCOS, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in San Diego County have arrested a man after a six-hour standoff at a condominium where he'd holed up with his three children.

Sheriff's Lt. Jeff Maxin says the man, armed with what appeared to be a baseball bat, argued with a neighbor at a San Marcos condo complex on Monday afternoon.

Deputies were called but the man refused to leave his home. U-T San Diego (http://bit.ly/Z8HlmL) says neighbors were evacuated and a nearby road was closed during the standoff.

Maxin says the man finally surrendered at around 10 p.m. His name wasn't immediately released.

The children, all under the age of 10, were reunited with their mother.
