LAS VEGAS (AP) — A mixed martial arts fighter known as War Machine is due to face a Las Vegas judge on felony allegations that he badly injured his porn star ex-girlfriend before fleeing to California last month.

The man born Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday on battery, lewdness, assault and coercion charges in the Aug. 8 attack on adult film actress Christy Mack and her male friend at a Las Vegas home.

The 32-year-old Koppenhaver was arrested Aug. 15 in the Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley and returned last week in custody to Nevada.

His lawyer, Brandon Sua, didn't immediately respond Tuesday to messages.

Police say Mack was treated for extensive facial bruises, fractures and lost teeth, and Thomas suffered broken bones in his face.
