PHOENIX (AP) — A fire broke out on a bridge under construction in the northwest Arizona town of Parker, but it's unclear how much damage has been done.
The bridge connects Parker with Earp, Calif.
Phoenix TV station KTVK (http://bit.ly/18nSGRl) says it is unclear how the fire started Monday evening.
Engineers may need to inspect the structural soundness of the bridge before it can be reopened.
KTVK reports that travelers needing to drive between the California side of the Colorado River and the Arizona side will need to wait until the bridge reopens or find alternate routes.
