LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former Los Angeles City Councilman Richard Alarcon has been convicted of four felonies for living outside the district he was elected to represent — but he was acquitted on the majority of counts against him.

City News Service reports the jury returned the verdicts on Wednesday.

His wife, Flora Montes de Oca Alarcon, was convicted of three counts, and acquitted on others.
