I had the pleasure of taking a class with him at McQueen almost 10 years ago and he wasn't just a great football coach, he was a great teacher and person. I would see him on Sundays at church and every week without fail he would be there, greeting every student there with a handshake. The people of the Northwest side of town lost a great icon, mentor, and friend today. Rest In Peace Coach.
