PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A former Oregon teacher who has been on the run since a federal jury found him guilty of possessing child pornography appears to have been in Southern California.

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Wahlstrom told The Oregonian that a Volkswagen Jetta found in downtown Los Angeles is believed to have been driven by fugitive Logan Storm.

Storm fled more than two weeks ago after cutting off his electronic monitoring bracelet. The former Beaverton math teacher was scheduled to be sentenced in April.

Deputies were still looking Wednesday for Storm's 1999 green Ford F-150 pickup truck with an Oregon license plate 726CKA.
