LAS VEGAS (AP) — Marketers including a former casino entertainment director say they're developing plans for a new two-day music, food and arts festival to be held in the fall of 2013 in downtown Las Vegas.

No dates are being announced, but Aurelian Marketing Group chief Rehan Choudhry promised Tuesday that the event dubbed "Life is Beautiful" will feature top performers at several venues.

Event partners also include Another Planet Entertainment of Berkley, Calif., and MAKTUB Marketing and Downtown Project.

Another Planet also produces the annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco. It'll book music and stage productions.

MAKTUB is headed by First Friday Foundation chief Joey Vanas. It'll draw on the local arts scene.

Choudhry used to direct entertainment for The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
