LAS VEGAS (AP) — The popular home furnishings store Ikea is planning to open its first store in Nevada.

Officials with the Swedish retailer were expected to announce details of the proposed Las Vegas-area store at a press conference on Monday morning.

Ikea has 38 stores in the U.S. Nevada shoppers must travel to Covina, California, Tempe, Arizona, or Draper, Utah to buy the store's signature ready-to-assemble furniture.
