SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — An Orange County jury has convicted a homeless man in the death of a fellow transient.

Sergio Camacho Gonzalez was found guilty Wednesday of murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon.

The 39-year-old Gonzalez got into an argument with 56-year-old Andrew Petrusiak in a liquor store in 2010 and accused Petrusiak of stealing his wallet weeks earlier.

Authorities say Gonzalez later went to Petrusiak's campsite behind a business complex in Fullerton and struck him in the head with a piece of wood. A friend found Petrusiak's body two days later.

Prosecutors say surveillance video showed Gonzalez entering the campsite and emerging several minutes later.

Gonzalez faces a maximum of 26 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced in April.
