ADELANTO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a man and two dogs were killed in a house fire in San Bernardino County.

A county fire statement says firefighters aggressively attacked the blaze in Adelanto that was reported before dawn Monday and confined it largely to a front bedroom, but the whole house had serious smoke and heat damage.

In a subsequent search of the house, the man's body was found. His name and age have not been released. Two dogs were also found dead in the house.
