LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 25-year-old man is due to face a Las Vegas judge on felony charges alleging he walked into the Clark County jail lobby and attacked guards with an aluminum baseball bat.
Michael Marcel Law is accused of hitting one officer in the head and pulling a knife before he was wrestled to the floor and arrested last Wednesday.
Law later told investigators he was upset about how police handled a Sept. 7 complaint that he was robbed.
Police say they don't know if Law made such a report.
The injured corrections officer was taken to a hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries and released.
Law also was treated for what police said was an unrelated medical issue.
He's facing charges including attempted murder and battery with a weapon.
