BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — University of California, Berkeley police say a 60-year-old man fell to his death from a popular lookout point over the university.

Lt. Marc DeCoulode tells the Oakland Tribune the man fell about 110 feet after slipping on the edge of a hillside on Grizzly Peak Boulevard on Sunday night.

The man was identified as Donald O'Dwyer, of Berkeley.

O'Dwyer was alone, but was witnessed walking and then slipping. Police say all indications are that his fall was an accident.

Other people have also fallen from lookout spots in the area.
