RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police say a 31-year-old man is jailed on felony battery and assault with a weapon charges after firing stray shots that struck a woman and her 4-year-old daughter during the weekend.
Police say Quinzale Mason was arrested Sunday and held pending an initial court appearance in the noon Saturday shooting on Patton Drive in northeast Reno.
Investigators tell the Reno Gazette-Journal that Mason fired several gunshots toward a man with whom he had a prior dispute, but missed and hit the woman and girl instead.
The wounds were not described as life-threatening.
