LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 34-year-old man is jailed in Las Vegas on kidnapping and fugitive charges after his ex-girlfriend reported that she was held against her will for several months at Mesquite motels.

Jason Greniger was being held Tuesday at the Clark County jail pending court appearances on a felony kidnapping charge and a Minnesota fugitive warrant.

Sheena Herschbach tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she and Greniger have been together since 2009 and have three children.

She says she obtained a protective order against Greniger in 2012 and moved to California, but Greniger followed and persuaded her to take him back.

Herschbach says they moved last summer to Mesquite.

The 26-year-old Herschbach says she never felt like she could escape. She alleges that Greniger threatened her and her family.
