LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a 55-year-old motorcyclist is dead after rear-ending a stopped van in an early-morning crash in Las Vegas.
Authorities say the crash happened a little before 3 a.m. Friday on Nellis Boulevard near Owens Avenue. Officials say the man was riding a Harley Davidson on Nellis and didn't brake in time to avoid the van that was stopped at a red light.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn't yet been released.
Police say the 46-year-old woman driving the van had minor injuries.
The crash marked the 19th traffic-related death in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
