RENO, Nev. (AP) — It was a happy holiday for hundreds of homeless pets in the Reno area.
The Nevada Humane Society says it exceeded by a whisker its goal to find homes for 1,200 pets in its Home 4 the Holidays Pet Adoption Drive.
The adoption campaign began Nov. 15 and wrapped up Tuesday.
Organizers say they topped their expectations by 25 animals, finding homes for 1,225.
