YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in southwestern Arizona say a Nevada woman is dead after the car she was driving rolled in a shallow lake in Yuma.

Yuma County Sheriff's officials on Thursday identified the victim as 23-year-old Maria Celina Rubio-Morales, of Las Vegas.

Three passengers in the car escaped injury.

Authorities say Rubio-Morales lost control of the vehicle about 9 p.m. Wednesday. The car slid sideways and rolled into Mittry Lake.

They say passers-by got Rubio-Morales out of the vehicle and sheriff's deputies performed CPR on her. She was transported by ambulance to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.

Sheriff's officials say alcohol use appears to be a factor in the accident, but its cause remains under investigation.
