SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — An official says a San Francisco Bay Area commuter train struck and killed a person on the tracks in Atherton.

Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn says in a statement that the fatality occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

She says that about 500 people were aboard the train and no one was hurt.

After the crash, the train was moved to the Menlo Park station where passengers boarded another train.

No further information was released on how the crash occurred or any details on the victim.
