LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County officials say a 4-year-old boy died after being pulled from his burning Las Vegas home.
County spokeswoman Stacey Welling says in a statement that firefighters found the boy after responding to the blaze around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
She says fire crews took him to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The county coroner is still determining how the boy died.
Fire officials say the boy's mother and a sister escaped injury.
Welling says the fire was extinguished in 10 minutes.
Both the Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will investigate.
