LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (AP) — When your water breaks, where else to go but the bathtub?

That's where a California man helped in the emergency delivery of his daughter Wednesday.

Authorities tell the Orange County Register that Keith and Katherine Arthur were in their Laguna Niguel driveway, getting ready to leave for the hospital, when her water broke.

Asked if she wanted to make the hospital drive, Katherine told her husband: "we aren't going anywhere."

Her husband helped her into the bathtub with blankets and pillows and called 911.

The dispatcher, who has eight children, talked Keith through the procedure. When paramedics arrived a few minutes later, Keith was holding newborn Colette, the couple's fourth child. He got to cut the umbilical cord.

Mother and daughter were taken to a hospital where they're resting comfortably.
