LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Clark County District Attorney says police were justified in fatally shooting a 63-year-old Henderson man who police say drove up to a traffic accident roadblock on his motorcycle last summer and started shooting at officers there.

District Attorney Steve Wolfson said Wednesday it was apparent that Edward Scheboth Jr. was heavily armed and intent on killing people in the Aug. 20, 2013 confrontation.

Authorities say Scheboth shot multiple times at four officers before he was shot in the head and killed.

The facts of the case were aired during a public hearing in May. Scheboth was described as a hoarder of books, mementos and almost 180 guns in a fortified Henderson home not far from the crime scene at Boulder Highway and College Drive.
