RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police are investigating the possible homicide of a woman at motel just east of downtown in a killing that apparently stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Police say a 61-year-old man was booked into the Washoe County jail on Sunday after he allegedly told responding officers he had killed the woman in a room at the Lucky Motel on East Fourth Street.

Police identified the suspect as Zollie Edward Dumas but say he also goes by the name Sabrina Starr Dumas. He's currently being held on suspicion of violating his parole.

Police were called to the motel room just after noon on Sunday with a 911 report of a domestic disturbance.

The name of the victim has not been released.
